Common questions

How do I set up the Parent Zone?

The first time the app opens it asks a grown-up to create a 4-digit parent PIN. Do this before handing the device over. Afterwards, reach it from the explorer picker ("Parent Zone") or by tapping the avatar at the top-left of the map.

My child forgot their PIN

Open the Parent Zone, choose the child, and tap "Reset PIN". Their progress is untouched.

I forgot the parent PIN

For safety there's no back door. Deleting and reinstalling the app clears everything, including progress, and lets you start again.

A world is locked

Worlds open as you earn stars. To open everything at once: Parent Zone → choose the child → "Open every world".

How are gems earned?

By answering questions correctly first time, finishing lessons, beating bosses, Lightning Rounds and daily chests. Gems cannot be bought — there are no in-app purchases.

Does it need the internet?

No. Mathonauts works entirely offline and never sends anything anywhere.
